Alexey Navalny dead: Alexei Navalny, a staunch opponent of Russian President Vladimir Putin, died mysteriously today (16 February 2024). He died while serving his sentence in Yamalo-Nenets prison. After Navalny’s death, Moscow has warned protesters not to take to the streets. After Navalny’s death, some pictures are going viral very fast on social media. In the pictures going viral, people are seen offering flowers in honor of Navalny.

According to the Russian prosecutor, information has come to light about an online call for people to participate in a mass rally in Moscow. After this information came to light, it became necessary to issue a warning to maintain law and order.

It is illegal to protest against government rules in Russia. Russian authorities have taken particularly strict action against rallies held in support of Navalny.

After Navalny’s death, dozens of people were seen offering red and white roses in front of the headquarters of Russia’s FSB security service. A post on the Swatantra Sota Telegram channel said that a person has been detained. The man was holding a placard in his hand. On which it was written ‘killer.’

Not only this, some people were also seen on a bridge who had come to offer flowers. At this very place, Putin’s biggest critic Boris Nemtsov was murdered in 2015.

Navalni was imprisoned in jail

Alexei Navalny was serving a 19-year sentence on multiple counts related to extremism, parole violation, fraud and contempt of court. He was kept in a prison in central Russia, about 230 kilometers from Moscow.
